Treatment Philosophy
My approach to patient care includes obtaining a careful patient history of the symptoms, obtaining carefully selected tests to evaluate the patient's symptoms, reviewing the results of the tests with the patient and deciding on the appropriate treatment for the symptoms and disorder together.

Dr. Parkman listens to me when i talk to him about my condition. He is very attentive and focused on me. He is very thorough for the specialty service that he provides. I would definitely recommend him to others and I'm glad I've been referred to him as a patient.

Dr is very pleasant and did not rush me but when I am not feeling well and need advice, the on line msg doesn't seem to ever get a reponse as to what I can do when I am in a lot of pain.. I would like more advice between appointments if possible.

I constantly recommend Dr Parkman to anyone I encounter who has gastroparesis. He is so knowledgeable - even about a rare genetic mitochondrial disorder my geneticist is testing me for. He is the ONLY dr out of my several specialists who knew anything about it. He wasn't just aware, he was KNOWLEDGEABLE. If you ever need a patient to appear in a commercial for TUH, I am your woman. TUH is the best hospital. [...]

Dr Parkman is amazing. [...] he is empathetic, extremely knowledgeable in gastroparesis. driven to find the answers as to the why's of gastroparesis relating to my specific case, caring and excellent bed-side manners. He always listens to me and together we work to find out how my quality of life with gastroparesis can improve. That alone is so important to me.

My present health issues are still being diagnosed so feel good that in the future they can find the cause and help me recover better than other physicians that have examined me!

Without Dr. Parkman, I do not know what I would do. He is always very helpful to me and stops at nothing to ensure that I am at ease where my Gastroparesis is concerned. He does all that he can to help me and when explaining his plan, is very informative. I am very blessed that such a wonderful doctor is my doctor and I am so grateful to him for all that he has done for me along the way.

Dr Parkman is THE ONLY reason I continue to come back. My case is complicated and he knows how to treat me... however it s IMPOSSIBLE to get the appropriate care in between seeing him
